The National Award Winning, Station Masters Cafe is uniquely situated at the start of the famous Tarka Trail at Barnstaple Railway Station (EX31 2AU).

The large station car park offers 30 minutes free parking for cafe users or excellent value all day tickets for those using the Tarka Trail or train services. We offer homemade cakes, sandwiches and cookies or why not try our range of full English breakfasts.

The Tarka Trail cycle hire is also located at the station, so why not pop in before or after your cycle ride for refreshments to eat in or take away. We also provide local tourist information literature, so pop in and have coffee whilst mulling over which activities to undertake during your holiday.

Our outdoor seating area offers an ideal sun trap to enjoy a delicious homemade Devonshire Cream Tea. We also sell a range of Tarka Trail maps and guides, to help you make the most of your day out cycling or walking along one of the most beautiful footpaths in the country.

Then for another day out why not return and catch the hourly train service to Exeter along one of the most picturesque railway lines in the UK.
