Details

Peter and Lesley offer a warm welcome to guests staying in their period home at Lake House Cottages and B&B in the glorious countryside of rural north Devon. The property is close to the village of Bradworthy, 3 miles from the Cornwall border and 10 miles from the nearest sandy beach. The square is ½ a mile away and offers a pub, tea rooms, and several shops. There are lovely gardens, a meadow, 2 lakes and coarse fishing available. Pets are welcome by arrangement.

The B&B provides a double and twin room, both with en-suite facilities. The double room is of a generous size, has an en-suite bathroom with shower as well, and the bedroom includes a seating area. The smaller twin room has an en-suite shower room and both rooms have heated towel rails. Both rooms have free WiFi access as well as tea and coffee making facilities, digital freeview TV, clock radios, large fluffy towels, a bathrobe, complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer. The rooms look out over farm fields, trees and the gardens. There is a large south facing balcony shared by both rooms. There are also four beautiful self-catering cottages on site. Please have a look at the owners’ website for further details on these.

Guests looking for a stay away from the pressures of modern life will find Bradworthy a haven. The locals are friendly and the pace of life is slow!

Directions

see location on Google mapssee location on Google maps.     Map reference: SS 328144 Lat: 50.90480  Long: -4.37936

Leave the M5 at Junction 27 and follow A361 to Barnstaple and then A39 to Bideford. Turn off into Bideford and follow A386 through the town following the signs to Torrington, leaving the town behind but with the River Torridge still to your left. After about a mile or so take the third road to the right. It is just after an electronic sharp bend sign and is signposted to Bradworthy as well as Littleham, Buckland Brewer and Parkham. Follow this unregistered road as it winds through woods and farm fields, and after exactly 12.5 miles you will come to Lake House Holiday Cottages on the left. If you do miss the house you will come to the village square. Turn around and drive exactly ½ a mile back and there we are on the right.
