We are located within minutes of fine sandy beaches such as Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton whilst having the convenience of being just off the A361. Close by is Exmoor, the North Devon Coastal Path and the Tarka Cycle Trail. Our rural yet accessible setting makes us ideal for a relaxing break or a Family holiday base. We are the only 3* Star hotel and restaurant in the immediate Ilfracombe area and with evidence of a settlement going back over 1000 years.
The property, with parts dating back 400 years, was tastefully converted to a Hotel in 1976, whilst still retaining many of the original features including a static water wheel and mill house.
Our Hotel boasts wonderful facilities including en-suite bedrooms and suites, self-catering cottages, Bar and Restaurant, gardens, indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, gym and games room, meaning that we have everything you need to relax and enjoy your stay.
We provide the perfect venue for parties, functions and weddings. We are licensed to host marriage ceremonies and our grounds are licensed for entertainment.
The are lovely opportunities for walking and we welcome dogs in designated rooms and cottages.

By Road:
Drive north towards Ilfracombe on the A361 passing through Braunton. Just four miles beyond Braunton you will see Hotel signs. Turn left into Trimstone - we are 300 yards away. From Ilfracombe, drive one mile to Mullacott Cross and take the Braunton turning (the A361) and we are half a mile along. Take the next right turn down the 300 yard lane.
By Bus:
There is a request bus stop which drops/picks-up right at the top of Trimstone lane on the A371 between Braunton and Ilfracombe. The Hotel is just 300 yards down the lane.
