Join us for a day of mindfulness as we immerse ourselves in the beautiful and inspiring landscape of North Devon. This course is suitable for those new to mindfulness and for those wishing to develop their existing practice. 

Enjoy a respite from the expectations, constructs and responsibilities of daily life and reconnect with your true nature. Experience gentle immersion into the solitude and stillness of the natural world at a secluded and tranquil location of outstanding natural beauty.

 

Cultivate present moment awareness in the natural world.

 

Engage in nature connection and nature sensing activities.

 

Develop compassionate mindful awareness skills through guided meditation.

 

Learn to integrate these skills into everyday interactions to promote a positive mood, a sense of contentment and enhanced resilience to the stressors and anxieties of daily life.

 

The day will combine guided mindfulness practice, including breath and body awareness, silent walking, mindful sensing and tuning, compassionate mind development and lone sitting meditation in nature. There will be ample time for reflection and inquiry throughout the day to explore how you are getting on and identify ways to incorporate mindfulness practice into your daily life. We will also discuss the historical, spiritual and cultural origins of mindfulness and explore the scientific research that evidences how our bodies own neurobiological systems underpin the effectiveness of the practice.
