Award Winning Tearooms located next to working 16th century watermill, serving Traditional Devon Cream Teas and cakes with flour from the mill. Free entry to mill. Tea garden. Child and dog  friendly.

Winners of Devon Life's "Best Tearoom" three years running and located next to the last working watermill in North Devon, the Miller's Wife's tearooms offers a wide range of cakes, many made from the flour ground in the mill, and a selection of Devon Cream Teas, including the Traditional Devonshire Splits seldom found in tearooms today.

All cakes are baked by The Miller's Wife on the premises and scones are baked throughout the day and served warm.  Light lunches are also served including locally made Pasties, sandwiches and Afternoon Teas.

The tearoom is cosy on a chilly day and the teagarden and potting shed are perfect spots for having a  cream tea on a sunny day, with the waterwheel and garden birds as a backdrop.

In celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the mill's renovation, entry to the mill in 2017 is free. Children will enjoy looking for the mice and spiders (not real!) and turning their hand at flour making on the hand quern.  Guided tours  (charged) available on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays at 4.30pm. Pre-booking advised.

Other facilities include: a selection of games and puzzles to frustrate and amuse - eARTh art gallery on site - local crafts and gifts - baby changing facilities - doggy treats and water

Cyclists and (muddy) Walkers welcome.

Dogs welcome in tearooms and gardens but not the mill itself.
