Broomhill Art Hotel

Whether you’re seeking peace and tranquility or you’re after the thrill of adventure with countryside and coastal activities, Broomhill is the perfect location.

Broomhill is situated in a gloriously green woodland valley two miles from Barnstaple; England’s oldest borough and Gold Award winner for the prettiest floral town in Europe. The hotel lies within easy reach of the best sights and activities North Devon has to offer; over ten different beaches including the golden sands and surf of Woolacombe, the beauty and mystery of Exmoor's rolling hills and valleys, first class golf courses and much more!

Broomhill is a stunning late Victorian hotel with a twist, there is fantastic art everywhere. Eight light and airy recently renovated bedrooms, an award-winning restaurant serving mouth watering slow food, a contemporary art gallery filled with gorgeous affordable art, and a 15 acre sculpture park displaying over 300 fascinating sculptures. There is also an outdoor swimming pool for the hotel guests to use in the summer, and the site offers conference/meeting facilities and wedding packages too.

The hotel is owned and managed by Rinus and Aniet van de Sande; a genuine hard working couple. They are incredibly hands-on, ensuring that every guest is treated with the kindness and respect they deserve. They have tenaciously developed the hotel and sculpture park over the last 18 years, creating a natural and cultural oasis in the heart of North Devon.

Hotel guests are invited to explore the sculpture park for free, enjoy the contemporary art collection on sale in the gallery, and admire the Broomhill collection on display throughout the hotel.

You don't have to be a hotel guest to enjoy the benefits of Broomhill though! Entry to the hotel and gallery is free, and for a small charge non-hotel guests can explore the sculpture park. Why not book a meal with your visit, or sit on the sun terrace looking over the blooming gardens with a delicious cream tea.
