Ilfracombe Aquarium

This exciting, award winning, all weather educational attraction provides a fascinating insight into the watery world around North Devon. The aquarium houses a diverse collection of local aquatic life in beautifully recreated natural habitats.

The exhibits provide visitors with a unique zoned journey experience from the source of an Exmoor stream, down river to an estuary, local rock pool, harbour, coast, to Lundy & its marine reserve. Complimentary children's quizzes are offered on entry.

The aquarium also offers a funky fish retail area where good value, unusual aquatic themed gifts can be purchased. A small cafe with sheltered outside seating provides quality refreshments, light snacks and luxury local dairy ice cream in a realaxing environment.

New for 2012, Rocket Shed available as a multifunctional, cosy, indoor facility for our cafe users. Display of local art for sale.
