Two North Devon women are taking on a gruelling 7 day multi activity challenge covering over 180 miles and over 10,000 feet of air, to raise funds for Help for Heroes. Suzanne Smith and Ruth Bateman will cycle, kayak, climb, abseil, hike, horseride and sky jump, starting at Ilfracombe to Baggy point then Instow, Okehampton, Honiton, Brendon and across Exmoor to Challacombe, before finishing in Barnstaple.

Surf Cycle Bus arrives in North Devon

The first of two Surf Cycle buses was back in North Devon on Monday afternoon, having undergone a major refit. The buses have been adapted to take water sports equipment and bikes on board. The lower deck has been transformed with racking and the upper deck remains as the seating area and anyone with or without equipment can travel on the bus.

North Devon+, the economic regeneration company for Northern Devon, has been a member of Destination South West for several years. Through this membership they proposed Ilfracombe as the perfect destination for the Cruise Ship Company as part of a Devon wide Initiative.
