Easy circular walk. Gentle footpaths, no noticeable ascent or descent. One path travels close to the shoreline and could be liable to flooding in severe conditions. At such times there are other paths nearby that can be used. 4 miles (6kms)

Bucks Mills is a pleasant, picturesque and quiet retreat, even at the busiest times of the year. The beach is situated in a rocky secluded cove at the bottom end of the ancient fishing village.

A short walk that is nonetheless strenuous in places. following a delightful path around the southern edge of North Hill with spectacular views down over the tranquil green pastureland spread out below the woods.

Access to Wild Pear Beach requires a testing walk of approximately 2kms with steep gradients. Mostly sand and shingle with rocks and caves at the foot of the cliffs.

The walk starts from the car park at County Gate. From here cross the road and follow the footpath signs for the Sugarloaf. This is one of the finest viewpoints on the Exmoor Coast.

The Hunters Inn, Heddon Valley, Exmoor, EX31 4PY
A gentle stroll through ancient woodland, along a babbling stream to a tiny secluded shingle beach strewn with boulders and shadowed by steep, scree-clad hillsides, with dramatic cliffs of geological importance and tales of smugglers.

A short walk around Crock Point, with views across the tiny cove below to Duty Point Tower, above Lee Abbey, returning through peaceful woodland past gently flowing streams with splashing waterfalls.

As it's name may suggest Woody Bay lies below ancient woodland. This secluded beach requires a steep walk of approximately 500 metres, to reveal a rocky, pebbled beach with some shingle.

Through the woods to a ruined mediaeval chapel: an adventurous walk for the intrepid walker, featuring a narrow path stony which climbs steeply uphill beyond the chapel. Not for the faint-hearted!
