Watermouth cove is a very secluded harbour creating an ecosystem for many rare marine species. Surrounded by rocks the bay is sheltered from wind and tidal forces. Many boats moor here for this reason.
Beach Type: Sandy
Dogs: Dog allowed
By car, the easiest route to Watermouth Cove is to leave the M5 Motorway at Junction 27 following the signs for Barnstaple A361.
Take the right exit on the roundabout signposted A399 and continue on this road for 16 miles following all signs to Combe Martin. Go through the village Combe Martin, and continue on A399 for 2 miles and Watermouth Cove is clearly signposted on the right.
We strongly recommend that touring caravans avoid the A39 coast road through Lynton & Lynmouth
