North Devon Beaches
North Devon beaches are some of the largest, unspoilt and memorable in the UK. Any time of the year, the beaches offer long walks on golden sands, surf that beginners and experts can enjoy, and family fun! Alongside the photogenic and award winning Woolacombe, Saunton Sands and famous Croyde there are many other beaches that are postcard perfect, found in plain view or hidden amongst the dramatic North Devon coastline. You can see some of these beaches below, but there are many more off the beaten track to explore.
So whether you’re looking for a great day out with the family or are looking for an adventure, North Devon beaches tick all the right boxes. With most beaches easily accessed by car, they are perfect for watersports. No matter if you want to try surfing, paddleboarding, windsurfing, kite surfing or swimming, you will find a beach to suit your level of ability. If you're new or just starting out then there are plenty of surf schools to get you started.
If walking and simply enjoying the scenery is more your thing, the beaches are daisy chained together by the South West Coast Path offering breathtaking views for mile after mile. With some variances by season, most beaches are dog-friendly too.
Plus a wealth of traditional pubs, cafes and restaurants provide a place to relax in after a day in the sun! When it comes to beaches, no one doubts that North Devon leads the way in quality and quantity!
