Barnstaple Tourist Information Centre

Barnstaple TIC can be found in the Barnstaple Museum building on the town square, adjacent to the old bridge across the River Taw

Our friendly team are well-experienced in local tourism and actively engage with the sights and attractions across the region. As North Devon’s central town, we have gathered a huge amount of information to help you make the most of your visit, so whether you’re looking for advice on where to eat or what’s on, ideas for what to do or where to go, or help with finding somewhere to stay, we’re here to help. The Centre is open daily from 10am - 5pm in the summer, and 10am - 4pm in winter.

As a town, Barnstaple is often regarded as the social heart of North Devon, due to its central location and wide range of amenities. There’s always lots to do: whether you’re meeting friends for dinner, taking in a show at the Queen’s Theatre, or browsing the mix of shops along the High Street. This family focused town also offers regular events, play cafes and a popular park, whilst wet weather days can be catered for with a number of local museums, cinemas, soft play centres and bowling.
